veteran Spartan linebacker with utility-player roots and a physical edge
Damiyan Caldwell’s profile at Norfolk State shows a longtime, versatile defender who came up as a multi-position utility player and built his reputation on toughness, range, and production—he logged 54 tackles, 6 tackles for loss, 2 sacks, 9 pass breakups, 2 forced fumbles, and 1 fumble recovery in his senior year at Norview, which is the kind of all-over-the-field impact coaches love[1]. What makes him intriguing is the blend of instinct and physicality: he has experience at safety, cornerback, and linebacker, so he brings coverage awareness plus downhill bite. If your team wants a linebacker who can chase, hit, and adapt, he’s the kind of no-nonsense defender who earns trust fast[1].
