The left-tackle anchor who helped make URI’s offense go
Kyle Murphy stood out at Rhode Island as a rugged, versatile offensive lineman who could play left tackle, guard, center, and right tackle, and in the 2019 season he was a team captain and the anchor of a line that helped URI allow just 2.17 sacks per game while throwing a league-high 42 passes per game. He was a consensus All-American level prospect with All-CAA and All-New England recognition, and the best fit for him is any team wanting a smart, nasty, dependable tone-setter in the trenches rather than a flashy stat-sheet star.
