Addison Toney brings defensive value and upside behind the plate for ETSU
As a 5'5" sophomore catcher for East Tennessee State, Addison Toney is still in the early part of her college résumé, with limited game action so far, but her role at a premium defensive position gives her real roster value if she can grow the bat. In 2025, she appeared in three games and went 0-for-2 at the plate, so the key question is development rather than finished production. She looks like a depth-and-development fit: useful if your team values catching depth, work ethic, and long-term upside over immediate offensive firepower.
