John Roberson brings elite shooting gravity and veteran poise to Texas Tech
Roberson is a high-level shot-making guard whose biggest differentiator is his long-range efficiency and proven scoring production against pro competition, including strong recent European and FIBA outputs in the 2025 season. He fits best as a floor-spacer and secondary creator: he can stretch defenses, punish closeouts, and keep an offense organized with steady playmaking. The tradeoff is size and low-end defensive impact, so his value comes from shot-making, experience, and calm, competitive guard play rather than athletic explosiveness.
