Layne Ferrell gives Wright State a versatile, two-way guard presence
Layne Ferrell has been a reliable, multi-category contributor for Wright State, bringing scoring, rebounding, passing and defensive activity from the guard spot. In the 2023-24 season, ESPN listed her at 8.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game, while Wright State’s roster bio notes she averaged 9.8 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.3 steals and 0.9 blocks in the 2022-23 season.[5][7] At 6'2", she offers uncommon size for a guard and has shown enough all-around production to be a good fit for teams that value toughness, versatility and lineup flexibility over pure shot volume.[4][6][9]
