Vanderbilt’s big-bodied disruptor: Daryl Campbell brings SEC-ready size and steady production
In the 2025 season, Daryl Campbell arrived as a unanimous three-star defensive line recruit for Vanderbilt, ranked among the top 100 defensive linemen nationally by ESPN, 247Sports and On3. At 6-foot-2 and around 300 pounds, he brings the classic interior-anchor profile: power, leverage and enough twitch to create problems inside. Vanderbilt lists him with 78 career tackles, 14.0 tackles for loss and seven quarterback hurries, which points to a disruptive, not just space-eating, skill set. He looks like a strong fit for a defense that wants physicality, effort and a sturdy run-stopper with upside.
