Boston College’s versatile 5-9 freshman guard-forward with a winner’s edge
In the 2004-05 season, Shamika Jackson arrived at Boston College as a 5-9 guard-forward with a strong prep résumé: over 1,200 career high school points, three-time conference MVP, and the 2004 Connecticut Gatorade Player of the Year. Her value was versatility—she could score, rebound, and create, averaging 17.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 8.0 assists in high school while leading East Catholic to multiple titles. That kind of multi-tool production makes her a fit for teams that prize toughness, leadership, and all-around impact over empty stats.
