Paul Scruggs brings two-way guard polish and tough shot-making to Xavier
Paul Scruggs is a skilled Xavier guard who stood out as a reliable scorer, rebounder, and playmaker, with career stretches that showed he can take over games offensively while still doing the connective work coaches value. His differentiators are his versatility, physicality for a guard, and competitive edge—he’s the kind of player who can create his own shot, handle pressure, and fit into a team-first system. For a roster needing a steady, experienced backcourt presence with toughness and leadership traits, he was a strong fit.
