Aiden Barrientes brings live arm upside and strike-throwing polish to TCU’s bullpen
In 2026, true freshman RHP Aiden Barrientes has flashed real swing-and-miss potential for TCU, pairing a 93–94 mph fastball with strong command after a standout fall and a highly regarded prep résumé that included a No. 16 Texas ranking and his Katy HS strikeout record. His debut and early relief work showed he can handle leverage without looking rattled, which is exactly the kind of fast-moving, competitive arm coaches trust. If you want a pitcher with velocity, feel, and room to climb, Barrientes is the kind of arm that makes scouts lean in.
