Cole Blaylock brings playmaking juice to South Alabama’s secondary
Cole Blaylock is a rising safety for South Alabama who paired steady tackling with real ball production in the 2025 season, finishing with 12 tackles, 1 interception, 1 pass breakup, and a 30-yard interception return, and he also logged 12 tackles in 2024 while working heavily on special teams[7][9]. He stands out for his trigger speed, feel for the ball, and scrappy, high-energy style—he’s already shown he can flip field position and inject momentum, which is exactly the kind of temperament coaches love in a defensive back[11][12].
