Chris Washington brings versatile, hard-nosed trench value for Appalachian State
Washington is a rugged defensive-line piece for Appalachian State with a long football background and proven versatility, having played linebacker, defensive tackle, defensive end and fullback in high school and logged tackles, sacks and forced fumbles at the prep level; App State listed him on its 2022 roster, while ESPN’s current player page shows limited recent box-score production, suggesting his value is more about depth, effort and role flexibility than headline stats.[6][1] He profiles as a fit for teams that want a physical, assignment-sound defender who can absorb contact, handle multiple alignments and bring steady workmanlike intensity rather than flash.[6][1]
