Javon Coney brings veteran guard depth and burst potential to Colorado
Coney is a seasoned Colorado guard who has logged four years in the program, appeared in 70 games, and showed he can swing a game in a short burst after scoring a career-best 15 points at Nebraska in his freshman year’s final 10 minutes.[4] In recent NCAA action, his production has been modest—0.8 points, 0.7 rebounds, 0.1 assists, and 34.8% shooting—so his value is more about experience, reliability, and knowing the system than volume scoring.[1] If your team needs a low-drama, system-fit backcourt piece with some instant-offense history, he makes sense; if you need a primary creator, he is not that guy.[1][4]
