Bladen Gatling brings SEC-tested upside and elite speed traits to East Carolina
Gatling is a high-upside transfer/young receiver prospect whose calling cards are burst, acceleration, and proven playmaking from high school, where he caught 211 passes for 2,887 yards and 33 touchdowns and helped Milton win a Georgia 7A title. He also showed multi-sport athleticism with track speed and cornerback production, and he was ranked as a three-star recruit by Rivals, 247Sports, and ESPN. He redshirted at South Carolina in 2024 without game action, so ECU is getting a developmental talent with real explosiveness, but not yet a finished product.
