Devon Thomas brings veteran steadiness and playmaking to Texas Tech
In the 2016-17 season, Devon Thomas gave Texas Tech a reliable senior backcourt presence, averaging 4.3 points, 2.5 assists, 2.2 rebounds and 1.0 steals per game while starting 19 of 32 contests.[1][5] What separates him is the low-drama value: he protected the ball, created for others, and led the team in steals, making him the kind of guard coaches trust when they want defensive edge, composure, and a steady hand rather than pure scoring fireworks.[1][5]
