DiDi Burton brings veteran lead-guard savvy to Georgetown
DiDi Burton has been a steady backcourt organizer for Georgetown, and in her 2017-18 season she ranked among the program’s all-time leaders with 429 career assists and 174 career steals, a strong clue to her value as a table-setter and disruptor. In Georgetown’s 2016-17 run, she was described as the Hoyas’ point guard with 101 assists and 47 steals, showing the classic Burton blend: pace control, defensive bite, and unselfish play. She looks like a fit for teams that want a tough, high-IQ guard who can run the offense, pressure the ball, and keep everyone connected.
