Eastern Illinois LB Brandon Matthews brings a physical, defense-first profile
Brandon Matthews is the kind of linebacker who matters because of what he can do in the trenches and in space: the Panthers list him as a linebacker, but the available public data on his 2026 impact is limited, so his value is best judged by fit and role rather than big-count stat lines. For a team, he projects as a defense-first piece if you want physicality, assignment discipline, and special-teams toughness; however, there is not enough reliable, athlete-specific production data in the search results to make a strong rankings-based claim.
