Cooper Gilkerson looks like a strike-throwing freshman arm with upside for Wright State
In the 2026 season, Wright State freshman RHP Cooper Gilkerson has already flashed bullpen value, including 1.1 shutout innings with two strikeouts against Oakland and a collegiate debut with 1.1 relief innings and one punchout at Charlotte. The 6-foot-1 righty from Hilliard Darby arrives with a two-way high school résumé and a reputation as a competitive, durable arm, which suggests he can give the Raiders flexibility and poise in middle relief. If you want a young pitcher who can attack the zone and keep the game moving, he’s a worthwhile add.
