Jordyn Stewart is emerging as a physical, ascending linebacker for Eastern Illinois
In the 2025 season, Jordyn Stewart broke into the Eastern Illinois lineup and turned 28 tackles into real momentum, with 21 of them coming over the final five games after earning a starting role as a hybrid linebacker/nickel. At 6-foot-0, 230 pounds, he already looks built for the job: sturdy, active, and willing to mix it up, while his high-school résumé hints at playmaking upside with 11.5 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks as a senior. He looks like a good fit for a team that values downhill toughness, adaptability, and a defender whose best football may still be ahead of him.
