Maddox McDougall is a rising bullpen weapon with starter’s poise
In the 2026 season, Maddox McDougall posted a 2.76 ERA with a 5-0 record, 54 strikeouts, and 18 walks across 49 innings for Jacksonville State, a strong jump from his 2025 freshman year (5.01 ERA in 41.1 innings). He stands out for strike-throwing, durability in long relief, and the ability to work both as a spot starter and high-leverage arm; reports also note he earned his first career save and delivered against quality competition. For a team, he looks like a competitive, ready-to-pitch righty with room to keep climbing.
