compact, explosive Wyoming back with room to grow
Dontae Burch enters the 2026 season as a 5-foot-7, 196-pound sophomore RB for Wyoming, with spring practice and spring-game mentions showing the staff trusts him in the rotation and as a scorer in tight spaces. His best differentiators are quickness, low-center leverage, and versatility—he was originally evaluated as a multi-use playmaker who could catch the ball, return kicks, and contribute on defense in high school. The fit question is simple: if you want a slippery, high-effort change-of-pace back who can create without needing perfect blocking, he’s interesting.
