Big-bodied, left-handed force who turned one Utah Valley season into draft-day lightning
In the 2026 season, Carpenter mashed his way into the spotlight for Utah Valley, finishing with a .338 average, 17 home runs, 58 RBI, 18 steals and a .467 on-base percentage while earning First Team All-WAC honors and becoming the highest-drafted player in program history. He followed that with a hot start in pro ball, posting a .253 average with 6 homers, 17 RBI and 7 steals in 2026 minor league action. At 6-foot-4 and 235 pounds, he brings rare left-handed power-speed upside, plus the kind of immediate-impact bat that makes him a fit for teams needing thump with a little sneaky athleticism.
