Colorado’s steady snap specialist: Derek Bedell brings veteran reliability
Derek Bedell has been a quietly valuable piece for Colorado, handling long and short snaps with no reported issues and logging 30 career games for the Buffs. In the 2022 season, Colorado notes say he played in 12 games as both the long and short snapper, and earlier program materials credit him with 202 snaps without issues—a big deal for a specialist position where consistency is the whole game.[2][3] He was also a highly regarded high school long snapper, ranked No. 29 nationally by Kohl’s, with a reputation for a consistent finish.[5]
