Andrew Ray brings versatility to Rhode Island, but remains an unproven piece
In the 2025 season, Andrew Ray did not appear in a game for Rhode Island and preserved a redshirt, so his value is still more projection than production. He is listed as a 5-foot-11 freshman utility player for the Rams, which suggests the coaching staff sees defensive flexibility and roster depth as his calling card. The big question is upside: he looks like a potentially useful multi-position fit if his bat catches up, but right now he’s more an intriguing development piece than a finished product.
