Melissa Dunne’s Temple legacy: a high-intensity guard who helped spark an Owls turnaround
Melissa Dunne was a four-year Temple guard from 1998-2002 who earned Most Improved Player honors in the 1999-00 season and later captained the 2001-02 team to the program’s first NCAA Tournament appearance in more than a decade. She’s best known as a high-energy, smart floor general with real leadership chops—more “steady engine” than box-score bully—making her the kind of guard coaches trust to organize, compete, and lift a team’s intensity level.
