Nick Locurto is turning into a real pop threat for Virginia Tech
In the 2026 season, Virginia Tech outfielder Nick Locurto showed a legit power surge, including a two-homer, three-hit game against Radford and a stretch of eight straight games with a hit, while also reaching base in 13 straight games. He finished the 2026 regular season hitting .278 with a .389 OBP, .444 SLG, six home runs, and 31 RBI, which tells you he brings more than just a glove in the grass. The upside: he looks like a left/right-field fit with emerging middle-order juice and enough on-base skill to matter; the caution: he was still viewed as relatively inexperienced entering the year, so the bat had to keep proving it.
