Reid Bowyer brings senior poise and late-game reliability to SFA’s bullpen
In the 2026 season, senior RHP Reid Bowyer has been a steady, high-leverage arm for Stephen F. Austin, earning multiple saves and repeatedly handling pressure spots in relief. The 5-foot-10 right-hander from Nacogdoches has shown composure in tight games, including closing out key innings with scoreless work and clean double-play execution. His value is less about overpowering flash and more about trust, strike-throwing, and keeping innings from unraveling — the kind of dependable, local-grown competitor coaches love to plug into a win-now staff.
