Veteran Tulsa linebacker who earned his snaps the hard way
Shawn Norman’s Tulsa profile shows a compact, physical linebacker who carved out his role through special teams and reliability rather than gaudy box-score numbers; in the 2015 season, he logged 14 tackles and had been in 24 career games by that point, with Tulsa noting his move from safety to linebacker and his value as a walk-on who was already trusted in game action. He looks like the kind of team-first, high-effort defender coaches love: lower-profile, assignment-sound, and built on toughness and versatility more than flash.
