Dante Lewis brings classic Saluki-edge versatility at safety
Dante Lewis is a redshirt freshman safety for Southern Illinois, listed at 5-foot-11 and 188 pounds, with a background that hints at toughness and playmaking instincts. His profile stands out for multi-sport explosiveness and a defensive mentality—he was a high school standout who also ran track and earned all-state/all-district recognition while producing interceptions and big offensive numbers. For a team, he looks like a developmental defensive back with upside if you want speed, competitiveness, and a player who’s already shown he can impact games in more than one way.
