Kent State's Academic Standout LB with Untapped Gridiron Potential
Chase Fortkamp, a junior linebacker for the Kent State Golden Flashes, boasts a stellar 3.86 GPA in Communication Arts as a 2023 Academic All-MAC honoree, blending classroom excellence with on-field hustle—debuting against top-10 foes like #7 Oklahoma and #1 Georgia while notching 2 assisted tackles vs. LIU. His high school Hudl highlights reveal a tenacious, instinctive OLB with explosive tackling and coverage skills from Wickliffe, OH; ideal for teams seeking a high-motor, intelligent depth piece who brings intensity, reliability off the bench, and zero red flags in a roster spot prone to injuries.
