Tevin Heyward brings defensive-player pedigree and San Diego roots to the Toreros backfield
Tevin Heyward is a San Diego Toreros running back whose best-known edge is his defensive-player background—he was named Western League Defensive Player of the Year in high school—suggesting a physical, competitive player with a strong two-way football foundation.[2] He also has local familiarity from Point Loma High School and prior prep production, which can matter for toughness, adaptability, and fit in a team seeking a reliable, hard-nosed contributor.[1][2]
