Shane Carter is a work-in-progress arm with starter volume for Delaware State
In the 2026 season, Delaware State pitcher Shane Carter has logged heavy mound work, but his results have been uneven: he entered the season with a 15.43 ERA over his first three appearances, and later team stats still showed a 0-3 record with a 11.85 ERA, though he also has multiple innings logged across starts and relief[1][2]. The upside here is size, durability, and experience against real lineups, plus he was a standout high school pitcher who helped win a 2025 San Diego Sectional title and finished 8-1 in his senior season[1]. If you need a project arm with competitiveness and starter traits, he’s interesting; if you need instant impact, he’s more of a development bet than a finished product[1][2][3]
