Rookie Guard Who Brought Instant Availability and Scoring Punch
Owens’ early case is simple: she showed up, stayed on the floor, and gave Illinois State a real rookie spark by appearing in all 34 games and recording four double-figure scoring outings, including three 11-point games in her debut season. That kind of immediate reliability matters for a guard, especially for a team looking for steady rotation depth, competitive energy, and a player who can plug in without needing a long runway. The stats say she can score; the context says she already earned trust as a first-year contributor, which is usually a good sign for fit and upside.
