Tyreek Copper brings size, production, and sleeper-upside to NC State’s WR room
Tyreek Copper is a 2026 NC State wide receiver commit from Kinston High who turned heads as a late-blooming riser, finishing his junior season with 77 catches, 1,391 yards, and 16 touchdowns, then capping his high school career with 276 receptions, 4,890 yards, and 66 scores. He was named 2025 MaxPreps North Carolina High School Football Player of the Year, and recruiting outlets describe him as one of the Pack’s more intriguing commits because of his playmaking feel, frame, and ability to win after the catch. The fit is appealing if a team wants upside with real production, but he arrived as more of a developmental sleeper than a polished blue-chip star.
