veteran WKU linebacker with SEC-caliber experience and downhill edge
Will Ignont is a redshirt senior linebacker for Western Kentucky who brings real power-conference mileage, having played 21 games at Tennessee before becoming a steady presence for the Hilltoppers. In the 2021 season at WKU, he started all 11 games he played and posted 53 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, and 2.5 sacks, showing he can finish plays behind the line and handle a full workload. His appeal is toughness, experience, and instinctive run support — the kind of older, dependable linebacker who can stabilize a defense rather than just flash on highlight reels.
