Rashaad Burton brings veteran DB depth to SMU
Rashaad Burton is a seasoned defensive back whose value is more about experience and positional reliability than headline-grabbing stat lines. SMU’s listed roster and player pages identify him as a DB, and the available records show he has been part of the program for multiple seasons, which usually signals trust, system familiarity, and special-teams or rotational usefulness. He looks like a fit for a team that wants a steady, assignment-sound defender with veteran awareness rather than a flashy ball-hawk.
