Jon Peterson brings size and left-handed upside to Sacred Heart's rotation
Peterson is a 6-3, 205-pound lefty who gives Sacred Heart a workable power arm and some pitchability, but his recent college results have been uneven: in 2025 he logged 15.1 innings with an 11:9 K:BB profile, a 9.98 ERA, and 1-2 record, after a 2024 season with 25.1 innings, 23 strikeouts, and an 8.53 ERA. The appeal is the profile more than the stat line—he’s a true LHP with starter experience, enough strikeout ability to flash swing-and-miss, and room for a staff to develop him into a more reliable innings option.
