experienced Gardner-Webb linebacker with veteran familiarity
Ali Edwards is a veteran Gardner-Webb linebacker who brings size, experience, and special-teams value; ESPN lists him as No. 17, and Gardner-Webb’s roster bio identifies him as a 6-foot, 217-pound redshirt junior from Sugar Hill, Georgia[1][2]. His best differentiator is dependable positional versatility — he previously moved from safety and was noted by the program for athleticism and a role on special teams[2]. Publicly available 2026 game production details are limited, so the strongest read is that he profiles as a steady, physical depth piece rather than a splash-stat star[1][2].
