Big-bodied San Diego righty with real bullpen upside
In the 2026 season, Christian Garcia showed flashes as a power reliever for San Diego, logging 16 appearances with 17 strikeouts in 17.1 innings and a career-best 3.0 scoreless innings against Oregon State. The 6-foot-3, 250-pound San Diego native was described by USD as adding “size and projection” to the pitching staff, and his best trait is that he can give you length without melting down when things get loud. He looks like a fit for teams that want a sturdy, developing right-hander with bullpen utility and upside to keep climbing.
