defensive back with the Maine Black Bears
Randy Smith is listed on Maine’s football side at safety, but publicly available performance data and scouting detail are limited, so the safest read is that he profiles as a depth/role defender rather than a proven headline producer. For a team fit, the key questions are whether he brings reliable tackling, coverage range, and special-teams value—traits that often matter more than box-score stats for safeties. If you need a low-drama, assignment-sound defensive back who can grow into a bigger role, Smith is worth a closer look; if you want a clear stat-leader, the current public record does not show that yet.
