St. John Bosco Star Turned Bona Bench Spark with Elite HS Pedigree
Alpha Okoli, a gritty guard from St. John Bosco High, dominated his 2017-18 senior season averaging 19.6 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 2.1 assists over 14 games while shooting 48% from the field and 35% from three—numbers that scream double-double threat and sharpshooting upside. At St. Bonaventure in 2020-21, he logged minutes in 35 games with flashes like a 10-point outburst vs. Georgia State and a 7-rebound career high, earning praise for his work ethic off the bench in A-10 thumpings. Now at Concordia Irvine, this under-the-radar SoCal talent (once underrated as a 2-star recruit) brings rebounding intensity, versatility, and Bona hustle—perfect fit for teams needing tough, multi-tool guards who elevate in big moments.
