Speedy DB Prospect Yet to Make Waves at DII Level
Jerome Colbert, a 6-0, 150-pound freshman defensive back for West Virginia Wesleyan, brings elite high school track speed (4.5 40-yard dash, 11.8 100m) and lockdown corner skills from Atholton High, where he starred as a Class of 2022 recruit with JSU interest, but no college stats are available yet in 2025; his wiry frame and athleticism make him a twitchy cover specialist with big upside for development, ideal for teams needing versatile, high-motor DBs—watch for breakout potential if he bulks up and adapts to DII physicality.
