Fordham’s bruising, efficient frontcourt anchor
Vanessa Silva brought real frontcourt pop to Fordham after a decorated junior-college run, where in the 2003-04 season she averaged 11.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 2.7 blocks while shooting better than 57% from the field for a 36-0 national-title team. At Fordham in the 2005-06 season, she provided steady interior minutes, rebounding, and shot blocking, giving the Rams a physical, low-drama presence who finishes efficiently around the rim. If a team wants size, rim protection, and a player who already proved she can win, Silva is a strong fit.
