Alyssa Casey brings freshman-impact scoring and glass work to Merrimack’s frontcourt
Alyssa Casey stands out as a high-motor forward who quickly translated to college basketball, earning NE10 Rookie of the Year honors after averaging more than 13 points and 6 rebounds per game for Merrimack in her first season. She offers the kind of frontcourt production coaches value: efficient scoring, rebounding, and consistent physical effort. The bigger takeaway is upside—her early award-level impact suggests a player who can grow into a reliable, competitive two-way piece rather than just a box-score filler.
