Experienced UTEP guard with defensive grit and playmaking touch
Neidy Ocuane brings veteran backcourt experience to UTEP, with career traits that translate beyond the box score: she’s a steady ball-handler, a willing defender, and a facilitator who has shown she can impact games with hustle plays and passing. In recent stat snapshots, her scoring has been modest, but her value comes from guard stability, effort, and low-drama reliability—exactly the kind of connector piece coaches like for structure-heavy lineups. She looks best as a rotational guard who can pressure the ball, make simple reads, and keep the offense organized.
