Allison Vernerey brings Duke a rugged, high-IQ post presence with shot-blocking upside
In her 2012-13 season at Duke, Allison Vernerey was a steady interior contributor, appearing in 35 games with six starts while averaging 3.1 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game, and earning All-ACC Academic Team honors[1]. Her value goes beyond box-score scoring: as a center, she provided rim protection, physicality and reliability, and Duke coach Joanne P. McCallie described her as experienced and tough[1][7]. If you need a smart, defense-first post player who can anchor the paint and fit a disciplined team, she is worth caring about[1][7].
