Underrated SC-Native DB with Elite Intensity and FBS-to-FCS Transfer Grit
Keylin Roach, a 6-1, 185-lb senior DB from Columbia, SC, is an underrated transfer from FCS (Marshall) who brings FBS-caliber speed and relentless intensity to Southern University’s Jaguars. Unlike typical stat lines, Roach’s differentiator is his all-region defensive pedigree from Brookland-Cayce High School and 247 JuCo 3-star status, paired with a personality that never shies from contact—evident in his 2020–2024 Div-I FBS/FCS corner experience and 1 INT, 9 SOLO tackles in 2023. He has no known injury history, plays with a ‘next-man-up’ mentality, and thrives in high-pressure situations. For teams seeking a DB with elite coverage instincts, physicality, and transfer resilience, Roach is a perfect fit—especially in schemes demanding speed and adaptability. Why care? He’s the quiet leader who turns missed tackles into game-changing stops.
