Curtis Haywood II Brings Versatility and Defensive Grit to Tulsa’s Backcourt
Curtis Haywood II is a rangy 6-foot-5 guard who offers Tulsa a two-way, low-drama backcourt piece: he’s known for basketball IQ, shooting touch, and defensive versatility, with a reputation for being a “wing player with excellent shooting ability” and strong defensive skills. In his college career, he has contributed across the board rather than as a high-usage scorer, which makes him valuable as a connector and glue guy. For Tulsa, he’s a fit if the staff wants size on the perimeter, smart decision-making, and a player who can help stabilize possessions without needing the ball all the time.
