Daniel Velez brings jumbo TE size and red-zone juice to Morgan State
Daniel Velez is a 6-foot-7, 250-pound tight end for Morgan State whose defining edge is obvious: massive catch radius, red-zone usefulness, and the kind of frame that can stress defenses at the line and in the end zone. In the available season stats, he logged 1 reception for 7 yards, so the tape-and-profile appeal is bigger than the production so far[1][3]. Morgan State’s own signing-day notes described him as a “big red-zone threat,” plus “gritty” and smart, which fits a developmental TE who can help as a blocker and matchup piece[12].
