Dontrell McQuarter gives Alcorn State a physical, efficient frontcourt presence
In the 2022-23 season, Dontrell McQuarter was a reliable inside contributor for Alcorn State, averaging 6.9 points and 4.1 rebounds in 25.0 minutes per game while shooting 46.4% from the field and appearing in 29 games, 22 as a starter.[2] He also flashed real scoring punch with a 20-point game against Bethune-Cookman in January 2023 and a 13-point, 6-rebound showing in an exhibition win over Tougaloo, showing he can hit hard when the matchup suits him.[9][12] At 6'7", he profiles as a sturdy F/C who brings effort, boards, and interior finishing more than flash, which makes him a fit for teams needing toughness and low-maintenance production in the paint.[11][1]
