T.J. Johnson brings steady guard minutes and efficient scoring touch for South Alabama
T.J. Johnson is a rotation guard for South Alabama who has shown a reliable, efficient scoring profile, posting 2.6 points, 1.2 rebounds, and 0.5 assists per game with 40.4% shooting from the field, according to ESPN. He arrived with a solid high-school résumé at Deerfield Beach, where he averaged 18.2 points and 5.5 rebounds as a senior, suggesting a player who can contribute without needing a high-usage role. For a team, he looks like a functional backcourt fit if you want toughness, consistency, and a guard who can do the small things well rather than dominate the ball.
